How to Clear Cache on Chrome?

To clear the cache in Google Chrome, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  3. From the dropdown menu, hover your mouse over “More tools.”
  4. Another menu will appear to the side. Click on “Clear browsing data.”

Alternatively, you can use the shortcut method: Press “Ctrl + Shift + Delete” on Windows or “Command + Shift + Delete” on Mac.

  1. A “Clear browsing data” window will pop up. You’ll see different options to choose from, such as “Browsing history,” “Cookies and other site data,” and “Cached images and files.”
  2. By default, all options are selected. If you only want to clear the cache, make sure that the checkbox next to “Cached images and files” is checked, and uncheck the others if desired.
  3. You can also choose the time range for which you want to clear the cache using the “Time range” dropdown menu at the top. If you want to clear the entire cache, select “All time.”
  4. Once you’ve selected the desired options, click on the “Clear data” button.

Chrome will then clear the cache based on your selected preferences. It may take a few moments depending on the size of your cache. Once the process is complete, you’ll have a cleaner cache on Chrome.
